Homemade Wheat Bread

Ray and I started to have more healthy food since beginning of the year 2010.
We tried to eat well at home as a habit.
From drinks to snacks to main course we try to make sure everything is OK. low calorie, high fibre. Ofcoz, sometimes, we do give ourself some excuses to have some sinful food :P

One day, we were shopping at Abela supermarket, Etihad Plaza, Abu Dhabi and i was looking the bakeries grocery.
Ray said : hey what are you looking for?
I said : erm, was thinking to bake some wheat bread, but i dont have the bread machine, unless somebody willing to help me do the kneading and punching process.
Ray said : so, the 'somebody' - are you refering to me?
Immediately i said : yes. hahaha.
Ray said : ok. let's do it!

So, i have bought the ready mix wheat bread flour.
Ray made it and the breads were good...

Since we are successful for the 1st homemade bread, we decided to go for 2nd homemade bread. This time, we bought the raw material and mix it by ourself.

Here is the recipe that i think it is working!

Ingredients :
1 cup warm H2O
1/4 cup skimm milk (2 tbsp skim milk powder in warm water)
2 tbsp sunflower seed oil
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp sea salt
1-1/2 cup all purpose flour
1-1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp instant active dried yeast

Step 1 : Mix all and stir well
Step 2 : Add all purpose flour and whole wheat flour + Yeast. Knead for 15 min. rest for 40 min
Step 3 : Punch down and place in a pan - rest 30 min in a warm place (no a/c room)until it become double of the size.
Step 4 : Preheat the oven to 175 deg C, Bake for 30 min.
(Lay a piece of foil on top to avoid the burning on the surface)
